To use our work in a book, please submit the following:

  • Title, author, and page number(s) of the Ingwaz Press  title.

  • How you plan to use the requested material in your book.

  • The title of your book.

  • Publisher of your book.

  • Estimated price of your book.

  • Estimated page count of your book.

  • Format(s) of your book. (hardcover, paperback, ebook)

  • Estimated print run of your book.

  • Geographic territory you are requesting.

Periodicals

To use our work in a book, please submit the following:

  • Title, author, and page number(s) of the Ingwaz Press title.

  • How you plan to use the requested material.

  • Estimated circulation of your periodical.

Online

To use our work in a book, please submit the following:

  • Title, author, and page number(s) of the Ingwaz Press title.

  • Website address.

  • Length of time you plan to post the work online.

Classrooms

Instructors must obtain permission to use our material in their classrooms

  • Use of the material is for non-commercial, educational reasons. 

  • Fair use is more often granted for published non-fiction works than for unpublished or creative fiction.

  • Fair use is more likely to be granted for smaller quantities/portions of the work than for whole chapters or the entire work.

  • Finally, the likely effect of use on the  market and how it could infringe on the potential sales/royalties of the author play a significant role. Small numbers of copies for a short period of use is more likely to by granted fair use than repeated, long-term use of the work.  Use of lawfully acquired or purchased copies of the work are much more likely to be granted fair use than photocopied passages distributed among students.

Since the variable in determining fair use are complex, we require all use of Ingwaz materials be requested beforehand.
